““Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.””

Digging Deeper
I actually went looking for this man’s story because I heard it years ago during COVID at a gathering for a Voice of the Martyrs conference live-streamed at Crossing Community Church in Newtown, PA. I didn’t even know his name when I went to search for it and just described what I remembered of his story and that he shared at a conference with VOM. I am so excited I found it because it goes so well with our Jeremiah 17:7–8 verses!
Even if you get to listen to only a few minutes of it, you will find a man who went through the “heat,” who learned and grew in not ceasing “to bear fruit.”
