From the Heart

It has been a while since I have taken time to use an entire blog to pray for an event, and this coming month I would really appreciate praying with all of you with so much going on.

I have been hanging in there on the health front, resting as needed and praying for wisdom each day to use the energy God gives for his glory. I am so thankful for the strength God has given me for family time and ministry.

Thanks, everyone, for all of your love, prayers, and support. I am so excited to get to see those of you who are able to come to any of these upcoming events!

Let's Pray

Abba,

We acknowledge that you give all mankind life and breath and everything. In you we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:24, 28).

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24)…

Enable me to be holy as you are holy (1 Peter 1:16)…

Is there any unholiness that I need to confess to you right now?

Please forgive me for…

Forgive me for my anxiety and worry. Forgive me for my pride and fear of failure. Forgive me for the time I have wasted on frivolous things. Forgive me for striving in my own strength and self-reliance. Forgive me for getting distracted, my eyes straying from you alone…

Prepare our minds for action. Enable us to be completely sober in spirit—steadfast, self-disciplined, spiritually and morally alert, fixing our hope completely on your grace that is coming to us when Jesus Christ is revealed (1 Peter 1:13 AMP).

As we fix our hope on your grace, may each person who comes to the upcoming events be encouraged and enabled to fix their hope on your grace too.

May they feel our genuine love for them and for one another, a love that is deep, from a pure heart (1 Peter 1:22).

Multiply your grace and peace to them and to everyone involved in the work: preparation, during, and after the events.

We love you.
We believe in you
and rejoice with an inexpressible and glorious joy, now that we are receiving the goal of our faith, the salvation of our souls (1 Peter 1:8–9 BSB).

In the name of Jesus, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

Through your Spirit, who leads us into all the truth.

Amen.

May God bless you and keep you,

Laura
