Let's Pray!
Abba, we trust that there is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord (Proverbs 21:30). So we commit and submit our plans to you for your will and your way (Proverbs 16:3). We commit this women’s event to you. We ask that you would prepare all hearts to receive your word. We lift up Karen as the speaker. We lift up Laura and the ladies leading worship with her. We lift up Charlene as she leads and orchestrates the day. We lift up the team of people who have been executing all the details to make the event happen so beautifully. May your Spirit flow through each person, bearing your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control (Galatians 5:22-23). We humble ourselves under your mighty hand (1 Peter 5:6) and pray that you can use us as your vessels in your way for your noble purposes (2 Timothy 2:21), not in our own selves but strong in the Lord and in his mighty power (Ephesians 6:10).
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever”(Isaiah 40:8). Saturate us in your word so that we may know you more (John 17:25-26), so that we may abide in you more (John 15), so that we may see truth and apply it to our hearts more, making the body grow so that it builds itself up in love (Ephesians 4:15-16). Clear away the distractions of this world, of circumstances, of hardships, of anything that would steal the attention of those at this event. May your Spirit in our hearts!
When the women walk into the building may they find and know your love, your grace, your truth, and your peace. We pray for the hurting, the broken, and the seeking that you would give comfort, healing, and answers on this day. In the name of Jesus, who is mighty to save (Zephaniah 3:17). Through your Spirit of truth, who testifies about the Son (John 15:26). Amen.
