Verse To Abide In
“And this I pray, that your love may abound more and more [displaying itself in greater depth] in real knowledge and in practical insight,”
Philippians 1:9 AMP
From The Heart
For the Thanksgiving weekend my husband and I, as well as our children and grandchildren, traveled from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma to be with my brother and his beautiful family.
As I write this we are still at our Airbnb at about 1:30am after Thanksgiving day. We have had a delightful trip so far that has made me all the more thankful for the loved ones God has put in my life. I am so blessed!
As I look toward this up coming month and all the opportunities to be with others I don’t get to see often, as well as those I see every week or even everyday, I have been asking myself,
“How has my love been at the start of this holiday season?
How will my love be moving forward?
Will those around me see Jesus lived out in my attitudes and actions with his kind of love, a love that overflows more and more, a love that lays down my life for others even in the mundane things?”
Let's Pray
Abba, we pray that our love may abound more and more, overflowing—displaying itself in greater depth—in real knowledge and in practical insight, so that we may learn to recognize and treasure what is excellent; enable us in identifying the best; empower us in distinguishing moral differences, so that we may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ—help us in actually living lives that lead others away from sin; filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God—so that His glory may be both revealed and recognized (Philippians 1:9-11 AMP). Amen.
Abounding In Love, Psalm 103:7-12 NIV1984
This song came to mind this week since we love because he first loved us…
