Our review question for 2 Corinthians 4:6 is, “What has God taught you recently? It can be a snippet that he revealed to you from his word, a verse, a lesson, an application, etc. We can look at this as the light that he has ”shone in our hearts" in his process of sanctification in us.
For me I feel like God has been pushing me out of the nest, so to speak, as I have been getting more energy and healing enough to leave the house. He has been teaching me to be more aware of others needs and to consider other’s interests above my own.
Paul Tripp’s prayer in his Everyday Gospel Bible really resonated with me in this. I echo it in my heart: “My King and Creator, I thank you for any blessings or successes that you have placed in my life. May they accrue to your glory, not my own. Would you keep me from becoming proud or haughty as I consider how you have lavished your favor upon me? Drive me to worship you and to live in gratitude to you, especially for how you have rescued me from my sin through Christ, in whose name I pray, amen.”
